Objective of the Workshop
The training workshops seek to increase the quality and effectiveness of research and education in health, agriculture, environment and related biological and social sciences, which would contribute towards improving food security in the SSA region and encourage cross disciplinary collaboration between agriculture, health and the environment. The expected outcome of the workshops is to enable researchers, policy-makers, educators, librarians and extension specialists have access to high quality, relevant and timely information on research via the Internet, CD-ROM and external hard disk.
Workshop Venue and Date
The workshop will take place at the Conference room of the CSIR-Forestry Research Institute of Ghana (CSIR-FORIG) from 8-10th September 2015
Participation
The course is open to researchers, librarians, graduate students and academic staff from Forestry Research Institute of Ghana (CSIR-FORIG) and at least two nearby research and/or educational institutions. The language of instruction is English. It is assumed that all participants have basic computers skills and the use of the Internet. No basic computer modules will be covered during the training.
Funding and Support
This course is supported by Cornell University’s Albert R. Mann Library and ITOCA. The sponsorship for successful applicants will cover the cost of registration, light refreshments and lunches for each participant.
